Roles & responsibilities
• Strong background in US statutory reporting with insurance product knowledge and strong finance knowledge(Must)
• Experience the development of statistical compliance reports for insurance client, ensuring full alignment with regulatory standards and strengthening audit readiness (Must)
• Reporting experience on blue book/orange books/Green book/Yellow Book for Insurance client(Must)
• Preferred toolset experience with SQL and SAS(Must)
• Understands how reserves change year-over-year (e.g., Analysis of Increase in Reserves)
• Understands reinsurance – types of reinsurance, assumed and ceded, premiums, claims, reserves, etc.
• understands basic insurance terminology (e.g., face amounts, stat reserves, fund values, etc.)
• understands differences between product types (e.g., UL vs Term or Fixed Annuity vs Variable Annuity)
• Understand client needs and structure capabilities and work to the client expectations
• Able to work with large amounts of detail data (usually this is done using SQL, SAS, or some other similar technology)
• Manage engagement delivery and work in collaboration with onshore/offshore team
• Able to create a timeline that takes into account the inter-dependencies of schedules and footnotes
• Adhere 100% to hygiene factors such as timesheets and training hours

Educational qualifications
• CA/CPA/MBA
• Stat accounting background, preferably with blue book/orange books/Green book/Yellow Book reporting experience
• Insurance domain training and certifications
Work experience
• 5-7 years of work experience
• Good knowledge of SQL ,US Statutory reports, Data Governance, Data Integrity, business processes, risk & controls testing with reference to financial and insurance domain
Mandatory technical & functional skills
• Good knowledge on SQL & SAS
• Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio, PDF and MS PowerPoint
