Roles & Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Management: Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies to optimize costs, quality, and supplier relationships while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.
  • Vendor Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to establish long-term partnerships that deliver value, maintain competitive pricing, and ensure reliable supply chain operations across all business units.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor procurement teams, provide technical guidance, conduct performance evaluations, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional development within the department.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead complex negotiations for materials, services, and equipment contracts; ensure favorable terms, risk mitigation, and alignment with company objectives and budget constraints.
  • Inventory and Cost Control: Monitor procurement metrics, reduce procurement costs through process optimization, eliminate waste, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality and delivery schedules.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 8-15 years of progressive procurement experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or related industries with proven track record of successful vendor management and cost optimization.
  • Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline; MBA or professional certifications in procurement preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Expert proficiency in procurement software, ERP systems, and MS Office suite; knowledge of supply chain analytics, forecasting tools, and digital procurement platforms essential.
  • Negotiation Expertise: Demonstrated ability to conduct strategic negotiations, build supplier relationships, analyze contracts, and achieve win-win outcomes with strong commercial acumen.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams, stakeholder management, excellent communication skills, and ability to drive organizational change and process improvements.
