Key Responsibilities of On-site AV Support

As an On-site AV Support specialist, your primary duty will be to ensure the smooth operation of audio-visual equipment during live events, meetings, and conferences. You will be responsible for setting up, testing, and maintaining various AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, sound systems, and video conferencing tools.

Your role will also involve troubleshooting technical issues that may arise before or during events, providing immediate solutions to guarantee a seamless experience for all attendees. You will work closely with event coordinators and clients to understand their technical requirements and deliver exceptional AV support tailored to their needs.

Additionally, you will document any technical changes and maintain an inventory of AV equipment to ensure that all devices are in proper working order. This may also include training staff on basic AV procedures and offering guidance on the effective use of AV technology.

Requirements

Essential Requirements for On-site AV Support

The ideal candidate for the On-site AV Support position should have a solid background in audio-visual technology, preferably with a degree in a related field such as Communications, Audio Engineering, or Information Technology. Experience in live event support and hands-on expertise with AV equipment is essential.

Proficiency in operating various types of AV equipment, including but not limited to audio mixers, LCD projectors, cameras, and streaming technologies, is crucial. A strong problem-solving ability and the capacity to remain calm under pressure are required, as you will often be the technical go-to person during events.

Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders, from technical teams to event attendees. A flexible schedule, including willingness to work evenings and weekends, is also a must due to the nature of live events.
