Job Title: Senior Engineer BillingDepartment: Billing DepartmentReports To: HOD - BillingJob Summary:To manage and verify all billing-related activities at the construction site, includingcontractor and subcontractor bills, work certification, quantity verification, and ensuringcompliance with contract terms. The role ensures that payments are made accurately andbased on actual physical progress.Key Responsibilities:Bill Verification, Measurement & Quantity Surveying- Verify Running Account (RA) bills and final bills submitted bycontractors/subcontractors. Cross-check billed quantities with MBs (Measurement Books), BOQs, Drawings,and Site Progress Reports. Ensure billed work aligns with contract terms, item rates, and approveddrawings. Take and verify site measurements for executed works (civil, structural, MEP, etc.). Maintain and update Measurement Books (MB) with proper records anddocumentation. Coordinate with the client’s quantity surveying and project control teams.Work Certification & Progress Validation- Certify actual work completed for billing purposes. Liaise with Engineers, consultants, and PMC (if applicable) for joint measurementrecords. Maintain accurate records of daily/weekly/monthly physical progress for billingalignment. Communicate with the Head Office billing/finance teams for bill submission,clarification, and approvals. Coordinate with contractors, site execution teams, and consultants for timely billinginputsDocumentation - Maintain all billing-related documentation:o RA billso Work orderso MBso Site instructionso Variation orders Track and document changes, deviations, or extra items for variation billing. Track and report deductions such as TDS, LD (Liquidated Damages), or penalties,if applicable.
