Key Responsibilities● HPC Solution Design and Implementation - Architect and deploy high-performance computingenvironments optimized for automotive engineering applications. Ensure seamless integration andoperational efficiency of simulation tools like Abaqus, Power Flow, Dyna, Nastran, and Altair. Design& optimize the architecture for HPC IT solutions in a hybrid environment.● IT Infrastructure Management - Manage and optimize IT systems for HPC, including on-premises, cloud,and hybrid setups. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure robust infrastructure support for engineeringworkloads. Design & optimize the complete end to end tech stack for HPC solution design includingSlurm, PBS pro, Storage, Machine type & similar solutions. Work with the network teams to optimizenetwork connectivity for running HPC workloads on Cloud / Hybrid environments.● Cloud and Hybrid Transformation - Drive the adoption of cloud-based and hybrid HPC solutions toenhance scalability and performance. Lead the migration of engineering workloads to cloud platformswhile ensuring security and cost-efficiency.● Performance Optimization: Analyse and improve the performance of HPC systems to meet thedemanding needs of automotive simulations and design processes. Implement strategies for workloadbalancing, resource allocation, and system tuning.● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering teams to understand computationalrequirements and deliver tailored solutions. Liaise with vendors and external partners for software andhardware procurement, licensing, and support.● Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to teams involved in HPC implementation andIT transformation. Stay updated on emerging HPC technologies and solutions, driving innovation withinthe organization.● TCO & Budgets: Identify & plan the budget for HPC workloads year on year. Manage the TCO fordeployed HPC solutions along with continuous cost optimization.
Qualifications● Bachelor’s or Master's degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or a related field.● Proven experience in implementing and managing HPC solutions with tools such as Abaqus, PowerFlow,Dyna, Nastran, and Altair.● Strong expertise in IT infrastructure management, including on-premises, cloud, and hybridenvironments.● Experience in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration into HPCworkflows.● Solid understanding of engineering simulation processes and computational requirements.● Familiarity with data storage solutions, networking, and security protocols for HPC systems.● Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical challenges.● Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.Preferred Skills● Experience in containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for HPC workloads.● Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Bash) for system management.● Understanding of GPU/accelerator-based computing solutions.Why Join Us?
