Role Overview

We are looking for a PHP 5 Technical Developer/Analyst to support the maintenance and enhancement of legacy PHP-based applications. This role will involve analyzing existing systems, resolving production issues, and implementing technical enhancements to maintain stability and performance.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience working with older PHP environments, database-driven applications, and debugging legacy systems.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain applications built on PHP 5 architecture.
Analyze and troubleshoot existing application code and system issues.
Implement bug fixes, enhancements, and minor feature improvements.
Work closely with functional teams to analyze requirements and provide technical solutions.
Write and optimize SQL queries for database operations and reporting.
Ensure system stability through testing, debugging, and code validation.
Maintain documentation for system changes and updates.
Assist in improving system performance and reliability.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong hands-on experience with PHP 5 development.
Experience with MySQL or relational databases.
Ability to work with legacy systems and perform code troubleshooting.
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with modern PHP frameworks or PHP upgrades.
Exposure to code versioning tools such as Git.
Experience supporting production applications in remote environments.
