System/IT admin resource JD:
- Who has experience in managing large SoC Physical design
project disk and compute resources during project execution
- Experience: Mid senior level would be good like 10+ Years
- Need to be proactive, ability to drive with large WW PD team
& counterparts from MSFT IT team.
- Having UNIX, IT infrastructure experience with previous
experience working on any SoC Projects is must.

- Role Scope and Tools: The admin will
manage disk allocations, compute pools, and priority pools for a PD team,
using both Unix and Windows-based tools, including LSF schedulers and disk
monitoring utilities.
- Responsibilities and Processes: The admin is responsible for assigning users to appropriate
disks and compute pools based on PD lead requests, monitoring disk usage,
setting up alerts for threshold breaches, and sending notifications or
taking action as needed.
- Interaction with IT and PD Teams: The admin acts as an interface between IT and PD teams,
handling disk and compute issues, while the IT team manages patching, OS
upgrades, and system creation; the admin will use ticketing systems for
requests and collaborate with IT for issue resolution.
- Support Window and Communication: The role requires availability during business hours with
on-call support for urgent matters, and communication with key leads via
Teams or calls for critical issues; proactive daily reporting and
highlighting top resource consumers are expected.
Required
Experience and Skills: A mid-level candidate with
7–15 years of experience is preferred due to the need for effective
communication with senior staff, and familiarity with Linux, Red Hat, SUSE, and
LSF-related environments is important, though deep Unix knowledge is not required.
