Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)

  • Lead the migration of on-premises Oracle Revenue Management & Billing (ORMB)) application and it’s Oracle Database 19c from Solaris to OCI.
  • Design and implement OCI infrastructure for ORMB, including provisioning and configuration of required services such as compute, storage, compartments and networking. This requires in-depth knowledge of OCI services, including VCN, Subnets, Service gateways, Compute, Block Storage, Object Storage, Networking, Oracle Cloud Autonomous Services, and others relevant to ORMB infrastructure.
  • Set up and administer Oracle Cloud services relevant to ORMB, ensuring the architecture aligns with best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Handle day-to-day operational tasks within OCI, including but not limited to:
    • Backup and recovery strategies.
    • Database security, including encryption, access control, and auditing.
    • Monitoring and performance tuning of ORMB and databases.
    • Patching, cloning, and applying updates to the ORMB and Oracle Database environments.
  • Develop and maintain scripts or automation tools for routine maintenance, backups, and other administrative tasks.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support application upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and other critical business processes.
  • Ensure all systems adhere to OCI best practices for security and compliance, including implementing appropriate auditing and monitoring solutions.

Support and Maintenance of Oracle Fusion Middleware Applications & ORMB.

  • Daily support and management of Oracle Middleware Applications includes RMB, OSB, SOA, MFT and PEGA
  • Monitoring, Capacity Planning, In-Depth Trouble-shooting Performance issues for Oracle Fusion Middleware Tech Stack, Oracle Database’s & Client, Oracle EBS and PEGA.
  • Troubleshooting Oracle Utility Framework issues, Batch Scheduling in ORMB
  • Expertise in Oracle Utility Framework Patching, Oracle Utility Upgrade and reconfiguration.
  • Experience on Hibernate, Perl scripting, irule scripting.
  • Expertise with RMB Troubleshooting.
  • Handling J2EE technologies: JSP, Servlets, EJBs, JMS, Web Services, SSL, JDBC, JNDI, load balancing, session clustering, and Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Write UNIX Shell & WLST Scripts to Automate System Administrator activities.
  • Configuring Local and Foreign JMS resources and Troubleshooting JMS issues
  • Manage SVN and create a DR strategy, and perform Annual DR Test.
  • Deploying the different type of applications (WAR, JAR, and EAR) in standalone and Clustered server environments of Application Servers.
  • Creating JDBC data source connections, identifying connection pools along with database configuration.
  • Remediate vulnerabilities on Oracle and Non-Oracle Tech stacks
  • Troubleshoot SSL issues, end to end encryption implementation F5 configurations.
  • Expertise in performing DB table partition & tuning.
  • Able to run DDL execution and Handle cm tool.
  • Ability to performance tune PEGA and scale up its architecture as business grows.
  • Troubleshoot Kafka, Pega engine and Node Type in PEGA
  • Pro-actively work with Prod Support Team, Project Teams to provide planning and ongoing support for Application Life cycle management.
  • Analyzing the Log Files, Thread Dumps and JVM Dumps.
  • Incident Management & Technical Assistance including Production and Performance diagnostics, technology assessments and troubleshooting day-to-day issues.
  • Liaise with Performance Testing Team to identify any performance related issues during UAT phase.
  • Expertise of UNIX / Linux Operating System’s with understanding of Kernel parameters, File Systems and Volumes (NAS & SAN ).
  • Work with Unix and Network teams for configuring Load balancer VIPS and Installation of security certs etc.
  • Perform all kinds of Application upgrades including Oracle and Non-Oracle like Apache / JAVA / Weblogic / RMB / PEGA / and FMW Products.
  • Weekend Bounce, Maintenance and on-call Support for Production changes.
  • Sanity testing of Middleware Technology Stack components on regular basis.
  • Perform Annual DR Tests.
  • Month End Processing Support-Monitoring memory and space utilization.
  • Creating Severity TARs/SR and conduct OWC sessions with Oracle support to resolve issues.
