Kafka Admin will design, build, test, and deploy quality messaging and streaming solutions that are consistent with project objectives, technology architecture standards and best practices

Perform administrator support for Kafka infrastructure. Ensure support availability during agreed business hours.

Responsible for maintaining the availability, performance and security of Kafka infrastructure. Develop and maintain the automation for Kafka infrastructure.

Responsible for issue reporting and suggesting solutions to frequently occurring issues.

Integrate with the team, supporting middleware technologies as needed.

Skills

  • As minimum 2 years of experience working as Kafka administrator.
  • Experience in other messaging systems such as IBM MQ or Rabbit MQ.
  • Experience in the Atlassian stack tools Jira, Confluence and Bitbucket (GIT).
  • Experience in Ansible automation development.
  • Experience in Jenkins automation development.
  • Experience in the scripting languages shell and python.
  • Experience in the operating systems Linux (RedHat and/or SuSE) and Windows Server.
  • Experience in virtual machines systems such as VMware and containerized systems such as Docker/Kubernetes.
  • Experience in the search engine such as Elasticsearch.
  • Experience in monitoring solutions such as Nagios.
  • Experience in working both Agile Scrum and ITIL methodologies.
