Designation: Administrator Technical Specialist
Overall Experience: 12-15 years of database administration as a
Snowflake DBA, with experience in managing roles and permissions.
Key
Responsibilities:
- Perform Snowflake backups and restores manually and
using Snowflake and other tools.
- Possess knowledge of the Cloud Data ecosystem.
- Analyze production workloads and develop strategies to
run Snowflake databases with scale and efficiency.
- Engage in Snowflake performance tuning, capacity
planning, and managing cloud spend and utilization.
- Lead cross-regional data replication and be an expert
in database recovery features.
- Have strong expertise in Azure, specifically in
compute, storage, and security services.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with Unix shell
scripting and SQL.
- Monitor the health, tuning, and growth of cloud
databases.
- Manage and monitor user access to the databases.
- Handle data and batch loading processes.
- Exhibit strong data modeling and database design
skills.
- Plan disk space capacity, machine sizing, and disaster
recovery.
- Possess strong knowledge of tuning warehouses.
- Have proficiency with optimization techniques.
- Understand the software development life cycle
thoroughly.
- Administer a large enterprise database environment,
including design, implementation, upgrades, monitoring, and tuning to
ensure efficient and reliable application performance.
- Communicate effectively.
Desired
Skills:
- SQL and Oracle database administration skills are a
plus.
- SnowPro Advanced Database Administrator certification
is preferred.
Educational
Qualification:
BCA/MCA/BE/BTech
or equivalent.
