Responsibilities of a GIS Specialist

The GIS Specialist will be responsible for analyzing geospatial data, utilizing GIS software to develop, maintain, and manage spatial databases. Key duties include creating detailed maps and graphics for various projects, performing data quality checks, and ensuring data accuracy and consistency. Additionally, the GIS Specialist must collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, provide expert advice on GIS applications, and assist in the development of GIS training materials. The role requires effective communication of complex geospatial concepts to stakeholders, as well as conducting fieldwork when necessary to gather data and inform project decisions.

Proficiency in AutoCAD 3D application is required.
• Good knowledge and understanding of GIS, Field maps and related terminologies
• Experience of working in ArcGIS is an added advantage
• Experience in working with utilities projects (Electrical) is an added advantage
• Work experience of 1 to 4 years
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
